Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and optimize search across platforms (Solr, Coveo, Algolia, Constructor, Elasticsearch)
- Develop and optimize indexing, query performance, and relevance tuning
- Integrate AI/ML models for semantic search, ranking, and personalization
- Implement schema changes, analyzers, and relevance configurations
- Advise clients on search strategy, platform selection, and best practices
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure high availability of search infrastructure
- Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to deliver scalable search features
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with search platforms (Solr, Elasticsearch, Coveo, Algolia, Constructor, or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of search relevance tuning, query design, and schema design
- Experience with vector search technologies preferred
- Interest in AI/ML applications for search (embedding models, LLMs, etc.)
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or another backend language
- 1+ years of experience working with agentic coding assistants
- Familiarity with distributed systems, scaling, and cloud deployment
Major Plus
- Experience with Coveo, Algolia, or Constructor in production
- Learning to Rank, Vector Search, or rerankers
